2014 is off to a great start in the Finishes department: I’ve completed 4 projects so far, and aim to continue adding items to the “done” list as we get deeper into the year.
Two other finishes, including the HSTs project — and a new WIP as well — will stay under wraps for a while, so I have nothing to share on those yet. Sorry, but that’s how it is and all I can do is hope you will like what you see a few months from now.
However, I can show off this completed wall-hanging, made for the “Tea Towel Challenge” also at the 15 Minutes Play group.
Never mind that the Challenge was issued a year ago and the deadline is long, long past. I couldn’t be happier to call this one done. Last you saw of this I was adding sequins to all the intersections on the center panel background. They don’t show up in the photo but are there and nicely sparkly.
I used a faced edge (rather than binding), and a loop-and-stick hanger, which you can read all about on the 15MP blog here.
Next up on the projects list is to update my sidebar with “2014” finishes. If it still shows “2013” over there it’s because I’m off delivering* two of my quilts for a show coming up at the Society for Kona’s Education & Art. Stop by Sat. or Sun. (early, show closes Sunday at 2pm) if you’re on the Kona side next weekend.
* I only have to drop them off at my LQS here in Hilo. Someone else will drive a carload of quilts over to the other side of the island later this week.
